It all started when Brandon got suspended on 9/11/01 in the book Ground Zero by Alan Gratz. Brandon got suspended for punching a kid in the face so that his other friend could get his toy back. As a result he had to go to work with his dad on the 107th floor of the World Trade Center. But Brandon wanted to get the toy for his friend, so he snuck out of his dad’s work down to the mall, but he got stuck in an elevator with 4 other people. They punched a whole out and Brandon got out, got helped, and saved everyone. Later on, Brandon realized that this tragedy was bad, so he went up to go get his dad. As he is climbing up all the fallen sheetrock he slips, but Richard from this morning grabs his hand and saves him. Soon after Brandon and Richard make their way down the stairs, Brandon gets a call, he never gets to see his dad again. They keep on going and get to the bottom. Following this, they can’t go across the Plaza so they go to the Underground Mall beneath the WTC. During their experience in the mall the South Tower collapses on them and Brandon, Richard and some other people make their way through the knee high water and pitch black and get out of the mall. Brandon and Richard are safe in Richards house with his kids and wife. To wrap things up, in 2019 Brandon also known as Taz, is in Afghanistan fighting wars in honor of 9/11. Is Taz/Brandon doing what is right for everyone, or just his country? --Quinn
