Digital Education Leadership (MEd) Capstone Project
This website is my capstone project for the Master of Education (MEd) in Digital Education Leadership program at Seattle Pacific University (which I refer to as the “DEL Program”). Throughout this program, my cohort explored what it means to teach, learn, and simply exist in a technology-rich world. The DEL Program has prepared us to think critically about how to integrate technology and education in ways that deeply support learning goals, and in ways that benefit both students and educators. As digital education leaders, we are teachers, we are learners, and we are advocates and coaches in a digital world.
The coursework in the DEL Program is grounded in the standards developed by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). We have studied and blogged about the ISTE Standards for Students (2016), the *ISTE Standards for Teachers (2008), and the ISTE Standards for Coaches (2011). For our capstone project, we are each creating a blog portfoilio (bPortfolio) to demonstrate competence in the ISTE Standards for Coaches. Using our blogs and other work as evidence, the bPorfolio is meant to highlight work we have done or could do in the future that is aligned with the ISTE Standards for Coaches.
I chose to use Google Sites for my capstone project. My blog, Orlala Wentink: Digital Education + Mathematics, can be found at http://owentink.org/.
*The ISTE Standards for Teachers were replaced by the ISTE Standards for Educators (2017).
