ITAVIS is the ITAlian workshop on VISualization and Visual Analytics, an initiative that aims at bringing together the Italian visualization community (both italian and international authors are allowed to submit a contribution), that encompasses researchers, practitioners and enthusiasts on the topics of:

Where & When
The 2nd edition of the ITAVIS Workshop will be co-located with AVI 2020, the international conference on Advanced Visual Interfaces, that will take place at Ischia island from September 28th to October 2nd 2020. The ITAVIS workshop will take place on September 29th 2020.
For this year edition of ITAVIS 5 types of contributions are accepted.
Full papers
Accepted submission in this track must present novel and unpublished research works on the topics of information visualization, visual analytics, human-computer interaction related to visualization, design, infographics.
Length: 10 pages LNCS Format including references
Short papers
Accepted submission in this track must present on-going research work and activities on research topics on information visualization, visual analytics, human-computer interaction related to visualization, design, infographics.
Length: 5 pages LNCS Format including references
Position papers
Accepted submission in this track must present positions and opinions topics on information visualization, visual analytics, human-computer interaction related to visualization, design, infographics. They should report a clear position on the target topic and should also suggest a proposal or actions regarding the target topic. They should stimulate imaginative and hypothesis-driven research. In particular, we encourage submissions both from researchers inside the visualization community and outside.

Industrial experiences & Technical applications report
Accepted submissions in this track focus on the application of visualization and visual analytics concepts and topics to industrial solutions. An advancement in the research field is not requested, while lessons learned on the application and technical details are welcomed.

Activity presentations
Accepted submissions in this track focus on the presentation of the research activities and educational programs of an institution, research center and/or an enterprise for the fields of information visualization, visual analytics, human-computer interaction related to visualization, design, infographics. The contribution should focus both on the explanation of the activities and on presenting present innovations in these, both in terms of research areas and on educational or industrial offers.
