Welcome to ACNS 2022


Welcome to ACNS 2022, to be held in Rome, Italy, from June 20 until June 23, 2022.

ACNS is an annual conference focusing on current developments that advance the areas of applied cryptography and its application to systems and network security. The goal is to represent both academic research works and developments in industrial and technical frontiers.

ACNS receives strong support in the communities of cryptography and security, which is reflected in its organizers, program committee, and very competitive paper acceptance rate.

Considering the uncertain evolution of the COVID pandemic, the conference will take place in a hybrid mode: authors will have the option to present papers remotely so that they will not worry about any health risks or travel restrictions for attending the conference.

For any questions about travel requirements to Italy and actual Covid restrictions, participants can refer to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation website. Participants can also fill out this anonymous questionnaire that details the different recommendations and requirements according to the individual vaccination situation.

Papers rejected at the first round can be submitted at the second round, together with a response letter addressing the reviewer's points.

Awards

  • ACNS gives a best student paper award, to encourage promising students to publish their best results at this venue. Any paper with a student as an author is eligible for this award. There will be a 1000 EUR prize for the Best Student Paper Award sponsored by Springer.

  • ACNS also gives best workshop paper awards, sharing 1000 USD prize sponsored by Frontiers.
