Mrs. Springer's First Grade!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Springer and I am so excited to be kicking off another great year at Highland!

I love getting to know all of my students and learning about each and every one of them. It's also fun to share some facts about me as well. For those who don't know me very well, yet... I was born and raised in Glen Ellyn and went to high school at Glenbard South. I majored in Elementary Education at the University of Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!), and graduated in 2007. I also received my Masters' degree in Reading and Literacy Instruction from Benedictine University. I am so lucky to have created a home at Highland and have been there for the last 14 years! It is such an amazing community to be a part of. I love teaching first grade! It is so exciting to see students grow into readers. We are going to have so much fun this year!

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my husband and 2 daughters, Lyla and Hadley. It is so much fun to watch them grow and learn so quickly! I also love relaxing with my parents and older sister as much as I possibly can.
