I have been in education for over 20 years. Previously I was a School Counselor in a small all boys Catholic School working with K-8 students. Prior to that I was a math teacher in both Middle and High School.
I earned a bachelors degree in Psychology at Binghamton University: A State School of New York where I also earned my MA in Teaching. After 17 years of teaching, I went back to school to get an MA in Counselor Education from CUNY Lehman. I have had my NYS School Counselor Certification since 2019. I am a member of both the New York State School Counselors Association as well as the American School Counselors Association.
I am so excited to be part of the Dobbs Ferry Middle School.

My school counseling career began in Bronx NY in 1998. My experience ranges from crisis intervention to gifted and talented advisement. As a School Counselor, I have the distinct position of working with individual students, helping them navigate socially, emotionally and educationally while pursuing college and career readiness. At the same time, I am charged with implementing programs to the student body. Some of the programs I have initiated are Project STOP (peer mediation), Career Day and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) incentive trips. After joining the Dobbs Ferry Union Free School District in 2003, I continued to initiate these programs in addition to collaborate on the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from SUNY Albany and a Masters of Science in Counseling and Human Development from LIU. I am a certified School Counselor and continue to develop professionally by attending graduate courses, study groups, conferences and workshops. Professional organizations of which I hold membership include New York State School Counseling Association (NYSSCA) and the American School Counseling Association (ASCA).
I am so grateful to be part of the Dobbs Ferry School District because through its support I have been able to enhance the school counseling program, while growing personally and professionally.
In my spare time, I like to travel, play tennis, read and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
