Message of Consul General Maria Theresa S.M. Lazaro

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, we recognize the importance of adapting to modern tools to engage with younger generations and foster a deeper connection to Philippine heritage and culture. Through this digital catalog of the Silid Aklatan of the Philippine Consulate General, we invite the public, especially the second and third-generation Filipinos in Barcelona, as well as the rest of our jurisdictions in Catalonia, Aragon, Balearic Islands, Valencia and Andorra, and the local Spanish and Andorran communities, to explore the rich diversity of the Philippines. 

Our collection offers a window into the Philippines' vibrant cultural heritage, from its history, arts, and language to its indigenous communities, gastronomy, and tourism. We hope this platform serves as a bridge, inspiring curiosity, understanding, and appreciation for the Philippines' unique identity and legacy.
