Since their arrival in Las Norias de Daza, in the province of Almeria, the Religious of the Sacred Heart have been trying to respond to the needs of migrants, formerly from other areas of Spain, and today to those who come from the other side of the strait and who continue to arrive today. These are migrants settled in the Norias de Daza, a rural population belonging to the municipality of El Ejido, mostly from the Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa and countries of Eastern Europe outside the EU. This project is currently being carried out in two population centers: Las Norias de Daza and Santa María del Águila, 5 km from each other.
The aim of the Bantabá Socio-educational Project is the integration of migrants who come to the area in search of work, trying to enable them to live with dignity in a society that is very hostile to them. During 15 days in August, we propose you to collaborate in the task that is carried out by giving Spanish classes to migrants in the area.
It is a possibility to live an approach to the reality of immigration in El Ejido (Almeria) and at the same time a shared experience in community.
