Summer School

Elementary Summer School

The De Soto Area Schools will be providing an elementary summer school program this summer for grades 4K through 5th grade. Summer school sessions will be offered at Stoddard and Prairie View.

Please refer to the bus schedule for pick-up and drop-off times. The school district will also be providing free breakfast and free lunch to all students in the school district during summer school.

Session 1: Three week program from June 10th- 28th for those students entering grades K-6. Classes will run from 8:30 a.m. -12:15 p.m. with free breakfast starting at 8:00.

Swimming: We will be able to provide free swimming lessons again this summer for students entering grades 4K-12th. A three week session of Stoddard Elementary swimming lessons will be offered during the afternoon June 10th- 28th.

Due to the closure of Lansing Pool, swimming lessons will be at the Bigley Pool in Viroqua. There is no cost to the students and transportation will be provided. Students can participate in Jump Start and swimming lessons.

July 22-25 8:30 -1:25 - Jump Start (Free Breakfast starting at 8:00)

1:30-2:00 – Transport to Bigley Pool in Viroqua

2:00 -3:30 - Open Swim

July 29 – Aug. 2 8:30 – 12:25 – Jump Start (Free Breakfast starting at 8:00)

1:00 – 1:30 Lessons

1:30 – 2:30 Open Swim

August 5 – 9 No Jump Start - Swim only

1:00 – 1:30 Lessons

1:30 – 2:30 Open Swim

Jump Start: Two week “Jump Start” program from July 22nd-August 2nd. Classes will run from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with free breakfast starting at 8:00. This session is designed for students entering 4K-6th grade. Incoming 4K students at Prairie View will have class on Mondays and Wednesdays. Incoming 4K students at Stoddard will have class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

MS/HS Summer School

Summer on the River- Ten day program at Stoddard Elementary from June 10th- 25th for students

entering grades 7th-9th. Classes will run from 8:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. with free breakfast starting at 8:00.

High School Credit Recovery- Three week program at Stoddard Elementary from June 10th through June 28th for high school students that want/need to gain additional credits. Classes will run from 8:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. with free breakfast starting at 8:00.

Wyalusing- Three day overnight experience June 26th-28th for students entering 6th grade. The program is held at

Wyalusing State Park near Prairie du Chien. It provides an opportunity for students to get to know their new

classmates while participating in many outdoor activities involving cooperation and teamwork.
