Students used their ceramic skills and techniques to create 3-dimensional letters incorporating images, textures and designs to represent themselves.

Spherical Clay Creations

Students created original clay pieces starting with a spherical form.  Additive, subtractive, textures and details were added to enhance the final work of art.

Sculptural Boxes

Students created individual clay slab boxes.  Clay techniques and skills were applied to the final piece.


Realistic Clay Animals

Students created ceramic animals based on photographs.  The animals demonstrate the use of proportions, textures, details to resemble the photographs.

Bobble Head Sculptures

Functional and Aesthetic Mugs

Students created two ceramic mugs.  A functional mug using patterns or designs and an aesthetic mug illustrating a more sculptural form.

Ceramic Relief Tiles

Students explored the properties of clay to create relief sculptures.  Students incorporated low, medium and high reliefs.  Texture, additive and subtractive techniques were also demonstrated.

Ceramic Coiled Vessels

Students created coiled vessels using a variety of coiled techniques as well as added icons, symbols or images about themselves.
