While I do not consider myself a photographer, I love this image of Aidan. This was a quick shot during a normal summer day after a swim in the pool. Capturing the typical moments in life is important. Time passes so quickly/ Savor the memories
DS Faculty - History - Academic Support
I loved trying to capture the moment light sparks up a dark evening, and was pleased that my picture accompanying the piece was able to express the mood as well.
DS Student - Class of 2023
I took this photo while on a hike. It was one of the first adventurous, outdoor activities I had done in a while because of the pandemic. It acted as a good escape from quarantine so I think this piece can portray the idea of an escape from reality. I really enjoy looking at this photo because of all the vibrant colors being reflected onto the puddle. I also enjoy the shadow on the puddle when you can't see the person giving off the shadow. This is what made me come up with the idea of "Invisible Shadow".
DS Faculty (MS Science)
Photography is a hobby that I have been apart of for as long as I can remember. I remember always taking my mother's camera out of her hand even when I was a preteen. As I got older, I continued with it and took classes in high school and college (even earned my studio art minor in undergrad). Whenever I am outside I have a camera in my hand. My mantra of life is "take only pictures, leave only footprints."
DS Faculty - Associate Head of School
I love taking pictures when I travel, and I have really missed traveling over the last six months! Generally, I enjoy trying to capture real life in the place I am visiting, but most of these are scenic pics.
