Mrs Jeanne R. Sta. Monica
An integral part to a child’s success in continuing education in this time of pandemic is to make sure that he/she has the proper modular learning supplies. The continuation of education has indeed brought cooperation of parents, teachers, stakeholders, Local Government Unit and our national government. Collective efforts became the foundation of new normal education.
Hon. Samantha Louise Vargas Alfonzo, representative of the Second District of Cagayan thru’ her staff in cooperation with the Local Chief Executive of the municipality of Sta. Praxedes, Hon. Esterlina A. Aguinaldo distributed school supplies to public elementary and secondary schools of Sta. Praxedes- Claveria West District at the Sta. Praxedes Central School Gymnasium, on May 11, 2021 at 10:00 o’clock in the morning.
The ten elementary schools and lone secondary school of Sta. Praxedes received 10 reams of bond paper and 2 sets of Epson ink each. Teachers said that the supplies will go a long way in the printing and reproduction of modules to be used for the modular distance learning.
The district head, Dr. Ralph L. Bona gave an appreciation message during the preliminaries expressing his gratefulness to the Hon. Samantha Louise Vargas Alfonzo, Representative, Second District of Cagayan for the support extended to the teachers in his area of responsibility.

SPCS teachers prove their skill in Action Research writing
Maden Gae T. Dela Cruz
To level up the teaching competence of teachers, five brave teachers of Sta. Praxedes Central School (SPCS) namely: Mrs. Grace E. Gonzales, Master Teacher 2 and grade 6 adviser, Mrs. Jeanne R. Sta. Monica, Master Teacher 1, grade 4 adviser, Mrs. Rosemarie O. Soria, Teacher 3, grade 5 adviser, Mr. Mario M. Agcoili, Teacher 3, grade 6 adviser, and Mrs. Maden Gae T. Dela Cruz, Teacher 3, Grade 1 adviser were bravely presented their action research proposals through virtual presentation last April 23, 2021 at Sta. Praxedes Central School, Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan.
Said CD 2 research virtual presentation, review and technical assistance was facilitated by the process observers and lead evaluators of the Technical Working Group of Schools Division Office (SDO) of Cagayan headed by Dr. Jecelyn M. De Leon, the public schools district supervisor of Gattaran District, Gattaran, Cagayan. She extended her expertise in research writing after the presentation of the five teachers of SPCS. She gave series of comments and suggestions for the improvement of their action research proposals.
“I really need to propose my action research because I need to address the needs of my pupils,” said Mrs. Jeanne R. Sta. Monica, master teacher 2 and grade 4 adviser. This prompted her to write her action research proposal because most of her grade 4 pupils exhibit problems in noting significant details.
“Writing an action research is not easy, you need to focus on the weaknesses of your learners in order to make one. I exerted effort, I even experienced to sleep late at night just to finish my research,” expressed Mrs. Rosemarie O. Soria, teacher 3, grade 5 adviser.
On the other hand, Mrs. Maden Gae T. Dela Cruz, teacher 3, grade 1 adviser, one of the researchers of SPCS, wanted to ascertain if her intervention LINKS (Learning Implements and Nurturing Knowledge Sheets) could be an effective tool considering the present situation where face to face mode of class is not possible. This alternative modality is deemed necessary in addressing the needs of her learners. Indeed, a good teacher is also a good writer and a good researcher. #

It was 9:00 in the morning of May 5, 2021 when the teachers with comorbidity at Sta. Praxedes Central School were called by the DOH personnel of Sta. Praxedes to be vaccinated because they were included in the priority list. There were some teachers including our very own school principal, Mrs. Mariel E.Agnir
During the vaccination, Dr. Roger Bazil MD, the Municipal Health officer of Sta. Praxedes explained that the COVID 19 vaccine is safe and getting vaccinated will protect us from from developing severe symptoms of the disease. Likewise, when it is offerered to you for free it means it converted to a public good because it is aligned with the main goal of vaccination which is to save lives

Save Mother Earth
Mario M. Agcaoili
All attention has been poured out to the Philippines as the effect of Typhoon Lawin unveils as it left the country especially to the part of Northern Luzon . Peoples’ lives , infrastructures and livelihood has been accounted loss brought about by this horrifying wrath of Mother Nature
According to PAGASA, Typhoon Lawin is the strongest storm ever recorded in Earth history which was raised to tropical cyclone signal number 5. Such devastation crippled the lives of our fellowmen. Its impact not only on what can be seen after the typhoon but also its deeper effect on the people affected. What could happen to the childrens’ education where their classroom have been toppled down and books are soaked up in water and mud?
But who is to be blamed for such incident?, The corrupt politicians?, The highly industrialized countries or our government itself?, A question which we all ask with fingers pointing to each other as answers.
No one is responsible for all the lives that have been claimed and the properties that was lost . But we are all responsible to make action and save the only planet that we call home –earth . For in our existence we are but a visitor as the adage says, ’’Take nothing but picture . Leave nothing but footprints .Know nothing but time . “ We are responsible in making our own demise as the effect of our action to Mother Nature reflects in the occurrence of Global Climate Change .
The best time is NOW for us to visit our means of treating our environment and start making a change in ourselves. Let us act now before our luck runs out and repent later. The challenge is set for us all.
