After nearly two years of physical separation and remote work due to the pandemic, the teaching and non-teaching staff of PNSB finally came together for a long-awaited team building and getaway. This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Philippine National School for the Blind Faculty and Personnel Club (FPC) and the GAD Focal Point System.
The primary objective of this two-day retreat was to foster a greater sense of camaraderie and sensitivity within the PNSB community, following a prolonged period of limited interaction. The staff embarked on a bus journey to Nasugbu, Batangas, seeking to immerse themselves in the refreshing atmosphere and tranquility of a resort.
The itinerary was filled with a mix of friendly games, insightful lectures on gender sensitivity, moments of reflection, opportunities for rest and relaxation, and an appreciation of nature. A specially assigned team also prepared simple yet hearty meals for everyone to enjoy.
In conclusion, the GAD Cum team-building event proved to be a resounding success. It effectively achieved its intended goals and provided a much-needed opportunity for the PNSB staff to reconnect and strengthen their bonds after a prolonged period of physical separation.
