Welcoming 2019 with a renewed commitment to well-being, the staff at PNSB embraced a holistic fitness program that kicked off in December and continues to thrive this year.
Dedicating every Thursday of the month to physical fitness, PNSB staff has designated it as the official "Fitness Day." The workout sessions, scheduled from 3:00 pm to 4:20 pm, aim to accommodate everyone's schedules by providing a flexible timeframe for participation.
These invigorating exercise routines, sourced from reputable cardiovascular workouts available on YouTube, have proven to be transformative for the staff. The benefits span a spectrum of health advantages, including increased heart muscle strength, improved cholesterol levels, stress reduction, lower blood pressure, enhanced mood and self-esteem, weight control, and better sleep quality.
Dr. Lennie Maneja, the Gender and Development (GAD) focal person, expressed optimism about securing additional resources to further support the staff's fitness journey. Her vision is to create an environment where every team member is empowered to achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being. As the program evolves, PNSB continues to foster a culture that prioritizes the health and fitness of its dedicated staff.
