DepEd CALABARZON Standardizes Gawad Patnugot Through
Joint RO–SDO Review
March 24-25, 2026 | Selah Pods Hotel, Pasay City
The Department of Education (DepEd) CALABARZON conducted a joint Regional Office–Schools Division Office (RO–SDO) review of the guidelines and criteria for the 11th DepEd CALABARZON Gawad Patnugot on March 24–25, 2026, at Selah Pods Hotel in Pasay City.
The two-day activity aimed to finalize clear and unified standards for the upcoming Gawad Patnugot Search and to further strengthen the credibility of the region’s recognition program.
Members of the Regional PRAISE Committee and the Schools Division Office PRAISE Committees engaged in collaborative discussions to harmonize interpretations of the criteria, minimize evaluation discrepancies, and reinforce transparency and accountability across the region. The review emphasized aligning the proposed guidelines with existing DepEd policies, departmental priorities, and quality assurance frameworks.
Assistant Regional Director and Regional PRAISE Committee Chairperson Loida N. Nidea graced the activity and underscored the importance of clarity, alignment with the Department’s five-point agenda, and sustained commitment to excellence. She emphasized that consensus and quality outcomes can be achieved through collaboration.
Part of a continuing process that began in 2023, the initiative is expected to produce harmonized and standardized guidelines that will serve as the official reference for the 11th Gawad Patnugot, while promoting a stronger culture of excellence across CALABARZON.
The activity was spearheaded by the Human Resource Development Division in collaboration with the Regional PRAISE Committee.
