Dilasag, Aurora – September 25, 2025 — The spirit of academic excellence was on full display as learners from Diagyan National High School (DNHS) delivered an impressive performance at the Dilasag District Mathematics Competition held at Dilasag National High School. The event gathered some of the most promising young mathematicians from across the district, testing their skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and applied mathematics.
Guided by their dedicated coaches, DNHS participants secured top spots across a variety of categories, underscoring both individual brilliance and teamwork. Their achievements highlight not only the learners’ perseverance but also the commitment of teachers to nurture mathematical talent in the school.
In the Quiz Bee, DNHS representatives showcased their ability to analyze and solve challenging problems under pressure. Among the winners were Juleane Faye Mateo (Grade 7 – 4th Place), Anafe San Antonio (Grade 8 – 3rd Place), Jeremy Cyprien P. Miague (Grade 9 – 1st Place), Prince Zaijan Tobias (Grade 10 – 2nd Place), and Keziah Darling F. Piniano (Grade 11 – 1st Place). Their victories were made possible through the guidance of coaches Mary Elaine L. Ramos, Rodolfo O. Leti, Jr., Reden S. Valdez, and Vera Mae H. Noveno.
Beyond the Quiz Bee, DNHS also stood out in group and creative contests. The Math Trail team, composed of Kathleen Nicole Lazaro, Diana Elerie Yanguas, Edwin Bañaga, and Laikha Bagawisan, secured 2nd Place through teamwork and strategic problem-solving. The school’s entry in I-MAThS (Interactive Math Act Thematic Song) impressed both judges and the audience, earning 1st Place with a dynamic performance that combined mathematical concepts with creativity.
Meanwhile, in the individual categories, Jazira May S. Dela Cruz claimed 1st Place in Sudoku, demonstrating speed and accuracy in logical reasoning, while Reden S. Valdez earned 1st Place in the LAPIS (Learner-ARAL Program Intervention Sheet) competition, further showcasing the diverse strengths of DNHS participants.
Several of these winners will advance to the Division Level Mathematics Competition, where they are expected to represent not only the school but also the entire Dilasag District. School officials expressed pride in the learners’ achievements, emphasizing that these victories reflect the value of hard work, determination, and collaboration.
The competition reaffirmed DNHS’s reputation as a stronghold of academic excellence in Aurora, inspiring both learners and educators to continue striving for greater heights.
