Curriculum Implementation Division through the Learning Resource Management Section, punctuated their 3-day workshop with a blast. New learnings were gained for our SLCR Coordinators. Expectations are high and we expect positive manifestations from our School Learning Resource Centers.

Schools Division Office of Valenzuela through the Learning Resource Management Section under Curriculum Implementation Division, punctuated the 3 day in-depth Training Workshop for LR Coordinators on the standard processes of development and quality assurance of learning resource materials.
LRMS shall always adhere to our mantra, "We shall deliver, we always deliver!" and to our vision - Per Gradus Ad Summum - "Step by step to the summit!"
CAPACITY BUILDING FOR ILLUSTRATORS, LAYOUT ARTISTS, AND STORYBOOK WRITERS CUM STORYBOOK WRITESHOP
Doors for vast opportunities is now open, not only for our dear learners but for our educators as well!
Curriculum Implementation Division through Sdo Valenzuela Learning Resource Management Section initiated the Capacity building cum Writeshop for Illustrators, Select External Layout Artists, and Potential Storybook Writers which primarily aims to achieve the three crucial objectives which will play a vital role for the efficiency of quality service LR Section can provide to its clienteles.
The objectives are as follows:
1. For the Illustrators - Produce Illustrations for SDO Valenzuela which will be uploaded in the LR Portal Illustration Bank.
2. For External Layout Artists - Develop and enhance Quarter 2 SLMs as to technical design as supplemental materials and in preparation for future ADM implementation.
3. For the potential Writers - Produce storybooks manuscripts particularly for Gawad Teodora Alonso Entry and for SDO LR Portal Uploading.

As we conclude this year's Gawad Tanglaw chapter, let us carry forward the inspiration of all the remarkable individuals - The School Heads, Teacher Librarian, and Assistant School Librarians, together with their Public Schools District Supervisors in charge. Their dedication and achievements remind us that greatness is within reach for those who dare to be consistent and dedicated.

Gawad Tanglaw Phase III: Final deliberation was held at Lawang Bato Elementary School.
All are excited and patiently waiting: we have 14 qualifiers for Elementary Category and 13 qualifiers for Secondary Category. The competition is sure to be tight, hence it is emphasized that all of this is for the betterment of our service to our learners.

SDO Valenzuela - Curriculum Implementation Division through Learning Resource Management Section together with School Governance Operation Division sealed another successful MOA signing with their strong partners - DOST NCR and AHA! Behavioral Consultancy Corp..
Alongside with the MOA signing is the simultaneous installation of DOST Starbooks to select institutions which shall cater the needs of our dear learners and teachers as well in raising the bar of teaching and learning process.
This partnership shall create a strong bond towards intensifying the provision of quality and genuine academic service to our learners and teachers and financial awareness assistance particularly for our teachers.

SDO Valenzuela through the Learning Resource Management Section conducted series of Story Telling on select Elementary Schools in support with the National Reading Month 2023 with the theme: Pagbasa: Pagasa Para sa MATATAG na Kinabukasan.
Ang patuloy na pagengganyo sa ating mga magaaral sa patuloy na pagtangkilik sa kanilang silid aklatan at ugaliang pagbabasa ay siyang tunay na makapagbibigay ng napakadaming at malaking oportunidad sa hinaharap.

Adhering to our mandate - continuously provide assistance and guidance on the continues development of our School Learning Resource Centers as well as to consistently provide support to attain sustainability of functional libraries.
Learning Resource Management Section is now on the roll!
Pre-qualifying phase shall last for a month to be followed by rigid evaluation and deliberation from the team.
Much is being expected since as per our data this school year, the number of existing functional libraries increased, from 80% to 86% this year. This result is indeed an evidence that the "fire is still burning" for our school teacher librarians off course with the support of their school head to continuously be part of our endeavor towards providing genuine learning experiences to our dear learners.

Learning Resource Management System Office through the Schools Division Office of Valenzuela City, will conduct the "GAWAD TANGLAW" - Search for Outstanding School Learning Resource Centers and Implementers.
Adhering to the Department of Education's key thrusts of raising the quality education by improving access to quality teaching and learning resources, “Gawad Tanglaw” – Search for Most Functional School Learning Resource Centers aims to:
· Recognize fully functional School Learning Resource Centers as to efficient and effective utilization of learning resource materials and textbooks collection;
· Recognize School Teacher Librarians who passionately and actively render service through efficient and effective utilization of school learning resource centers and implementation of its programs;
· Provide guidance and technical assistance to all school learning resource centers with division standard policies on how to improve the utilization;
· Recognize and showcase best practices of School Learning Resource Centers in promoting readership through active utilization of learning materials and textbooks collection.

LRMS aims to venture with Rotary Club of Valenzuela-South District to provide quality service for our school libraries. MOBILE SMART GADGETS TRAINING AND TURNOVER CEREMONIAL FOR ALS
Turn over Ceremony and Training for Mobile Device Management for ALS Administrators, held August 16, 2023, at Valenzuela City Schools of Mathematics and Science. This momentous event marks another milestone in the Learning Resource Management as they embarked to provide genuine service and assistance to our ALS learners.
TRIMMING OF KS1 TO KS3 MODULES FOR PRINTING FOR SY 2023-2024
With the aim to deliver quality and more efficient learning materials for our learners, LRM Section together with the selected pool of dedicated layout artists ventured in the trimming of the locally developed self-learning modules to assure that contextuality of the learning materials to be used are met.
MOBILE DEVICE MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR TEACHER LIBRARIANS AND ICT COORDINATORS
School Learning Resource Centers (SLRCs) modernization. One of the priority end-goals that we envision to achieve. Little by little we are near towards the success of our mission. Special thanks to the ICT Unit headed by Sir Noel for the commitment of maintaining the units and Property Unit headed by Sir Rodel for the asset and management awareness.
