Amidst the present health crisis, Cagayan 2nd District Representative Samantha V. Alfonso distributed school supplies last May 11, 2021 at Sta. Praxedes Central School Gymnasium.

Since the beginning of school year 2020-2021, Congresswoman Alfonso has been distributing school supplies to various schools in the 2nd District of Cagayan.

“Congresswoman Alfonso acknowledges the huge demand for school supplies especially with the hardships of teachers and students on this new set-up of learning due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID - 19),” her duly representative said.

This initiative benefitted 10 elementary schools and one high school in the district.

“Ramdam po namin ang hirap at sakripisyo niyo para maibigay at maipagpatuloy ang edukasyon ng ating mga minamahal na mag-aaral sa kabila ng patuloy na paglala ng krisis sa kalusugan. Alam po namin ang hirap ng pondo at pagbili ng mga kailangan para sa pagimprenta ng mga modules kaya itong supplies na ibibigay po namin ay sana makatulong. Asahan niyo po na may susunod pa na mga supplies para sa inyo,” he added.

Meanwhile, Municipal Mayor Esterlina A. Aguinaldo and Dr. Ralph L. Bona, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) thank the unwavering support of Congresswoman Alfonso in strengthening education even this time of pandemic.

The school supplies distributed includes two boxes of bond paper and two sets of Epson ink.

Sta. Praxedes Municipal Mayor Esterlina A. Aguinaldo has distributed photocopiers and school supplies last September 13, 2020 at Sta. Praxedes Municipal Gymnasium to teachers in an effort to help the schools in the municipality pursue education during this time of pandemic.

It has always been one of the priority programs of Mayor Aguinaldo to give support to education since the first day of her office.

“It has always been my dream to help the education of our children and to ease the burden of teachers in the hard times that they are experiencing these days,” said Aguinaldo. She stressed the importance of delivering quality education to school children even these trying times.

“I recognize the needs in this new normal situation so I am giving the necessary supplies to lessen your worries on how you continue to provide the best education to our school children,” she added.

Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Dr. Ralph L. Bona extends his gratitude to the good Mayor for her all out support to education.

She distributed three photocopiers, laptop and school supplies where three elementary schools and lone secondary school in the municipality as the recipients.
