The said seminar aimed not only to raise responsiveness on gender issues and concerns but also to empower women who are susceptible to abuse and domestic violence.
This one of a kind seminar will be conducted from elementary to secondary in all the schools in the district within the school year.
To raise awareness around the community on the importance of planting trees and to address the unfavorable effects of climate change, the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) of Diora-Zinungan Elementary School participated in the simultaneous Provincial-Wide Tree Planting program of the Provincial Federation of Parents and Teachers Association (PFPTA) on February 14, 2021 at 8 o’clock in the morning at DZES school grounds.
The said event commenced with the singing of the National Anthem conducted by Maryjane A. Pula, Teacher III, followed by a moment with God led by Maria Libertine O. Fronda, Teacher III. Guilbert M. Perucho, GPTA President, expressed his words of thanks for participating in this activity and for always supporting all the programs and projects of the PTA.
This activity is one of the proposed projects of Gaudencio A. Fronda, Provincial Federation of Parents and Teachers Association President, to help connect parents to the benefits of trees and foster environmental stewardship.
“It is part of my commitment as president and in the same way my ecological accountability to encourage consciousness on my fellow parents regarding current concerns towards Mother Nature. It is my responsibility to provide opportunities for parents to get involved and instill strong desire in safeguarding our “home”, the planet earth and in advocating the conservation of our natural resources,” Fronda stated when asked about this PTA’s undertaking.
Parents as well as the teachers brought different kinds of seedlings which were planted around the vicinity of the school.
DZES holds First PTA General Assembly
by: Maria Libertine O. Fronda Teacher IIIThe first Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) General Assembly for the school year 2020-2021 was held last December 7 at 9:30 in the morning at Diora-Zinungan Elementary School which was attended by the parents and teachers.
This assembly started with a prayer led by Miriam A. Cariño, Grade I teacher then followed by a simple message of Emilio H. Maramag, Jr., Head Teacher I, wherein he appealed to the parents to be more understanding, cooperative and supportive to all the programs and activities of the school especially in this New Normal.
The agenda of the said meeting were the following:
a. Presentation of General PTA Officers for SY 2020-2021
b. Schedule of Ground Improvement
c. PTA Fees
d. GAD Seminar
Before the meeting ended, Guilbert M. Perucho, PTA President, assured everyone that all of the officers will give their full support for the betterment of the school.
