Provincial Federation of Parents and Teachers Association (PFPTA) President Gaudencio A. Fronda extended his service and expertise in addressing gender issues and concerns during the Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar of Diora-Zinungan PTA on February 25, 2021 at 8 o’clock in the morning at Diora-Zinungan’s Barangay Conference Hall.
Provincial Federation of Parents and Teachers Association (PFPTA) President Gaudencio A. Fronda extended his service and expertise in addressing gender issues and concerns during the Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar of Diora-Zinungan PTA on February 25, 2021 at 8 o’clock in the morning at Diora-Zinungan’s Barangay Conference Hall.
This event started with a prayer led by Miriam A. Cariño, Teacher III of Diora-Zinungan Elementary School, then the words of welcome by Guilbert M. Perucho, GPTA President, and later on followed by an inspirational message delivered by Emilio H. Maramag, Jr., Head Teacher I.

Fronda began his talk on the overview, legal bases and goals of GAD. Furthermore, he discussed Sex and Gender Identity, Relevance of Gender for Development, GAD Concept, Gender Sensitivity and its Premises, What is Sex and Gender Equality and Equity.

Throughout his discussion, he also incorporated games related to his topics and likewise solicited the participants’ thoughts, experiences and learnings regarding this seminar.

In an interview Fronda said, “I really planned to include GAD Seminar in our program in the MFPTA because I believe that this would strengthen the bond between husbands and wives. If there is a good relationship of parents in the family, our children would know and sense it so eventually, they would have the feelings of security, love and belongingness. Thus, our children would more likely finish their education

and be victorious in life through the support and love of their parents.”
The said seminar aimed not only to raise responsiveness on gender issues and concerns but also to empower women who are susceptible to abuse and domestic violence.
This one of a kind seminar will be conducted from elementary to secondary in all the schools in the district within the school year.
PTA joins in Provincial-Wide Tree Planting

To raise awareness around the community on the importance of planting trees and to address the unfavorable effects of climate change, the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) of Diora-Zinungan Elementary School participated in the simultaneous Provincial-Wide Tree Planting program of the Provincial Federation of Parents and Teachers Association (PFPTA) on February 14, 2021 at 8 o’clock in the morning at DZES school grounds.
The said event commenced with the singing of the National Anthem conducted by Maryjane A. Pula, Teacher III, followed by a moment with God led by Maria Libertine O. Fronda, Teacher III. Guilbert M. Perucho, GPTA President, expressed his words of thanks for participating in this activity and for always supporting all the programs and projects of the PTA.
This activity is one of the proposed projects of Gaudencio A. Fronda, Provincial Federation of Parents and Teachers Association President, to help connect parents to the benefits of trees and foster environmental stewardship.
“It is part of my commitment as president and in the same way my ecological accountability to encourage consciousness on my fellow parents regarding current concerns towards Mother Nature. It is my responsibility to provide opportunities for parents to get involved and instill strong desire in safeguarding our “home”, the planet earth and in advocating the conservation of our natural resources,” Fronda stated when asked about this PTA’s undertaking.
Parents as well as the teachers brought different kinds of seedlings which were planted around the vicinity of the school.
DZES holds First PTA General Assembly
by: Maria Libertine O. Fronda Teacher IIIThe first Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) General Assembly for the school year 2020-2021 was held last December 7 at 9:30 in the morning at Diora-Zinungan Elementary School which was attended by the parents and teachers.
This assembly started with a prayer led by Miriam A. Cariño, Grade I teacher then followed by a simple message of Emilio H. Maramag, Jr., Head Teacher I, wherein he appealed to the parents to be more understanding, cooperative and supportive to all the programs and activities of the school especially in this New Normal.
The agenda of the said meeting were the following:
a. Presentation of General PTA Officers for SY 2020-2021
b. Schedule of Ground Improvement
c. PTA Fees
d. GAD Seminar
Before the meeting ended, Guilbert M. Perucho, PTA President, assured everyone that all of the officers will give their full support for the betterment of the school.
