Message of the School Head

Education is the foundation on which a country is built. It is through education that we help our children to reach their full potentials both as productive, responsible and principled citizens.

But how can we build an education system that best develops adults of tomorrow in the new normal in education? In this fast changing world where many new professions are coming out, teaching profession still stands out. No matter how many years had past, we will still be remembered as a teacher and nobody could change this fact even in this time of pandemic.

We have the authority and power as soon as we started teaching. We could change lives. We can make and unmake an individual. As teachers, we are referred to as unique and incomparable individuals because we are not just teaching but we could be anybody. We are the models for we portray different roles not only in school but in the community and wherever.

Furthermore, in the face of such tremendous change, our learners will need to have different skills. Hence, education will no longer just be about knowing, but will require us to focus on the development of soft skills, communication, creative thinking and flexibility. Our role as teachers also must focus on, more than just professional. We teachers have an important task to play. We shape future generations, we must be knowledgeable, creative and always willing to learn. Have an open mind to be technology experts using social media, embraces the different learning modalities that the educational system has offered and the like. We don’t stop searching for new things that we could share, still searching to innovate and improve our teaching abilities and help lift the quality of education we have at the moment and make a greater and bigger leap to make a difference, especially this time and kind of transforming learning to children.

Teachers work at home with the family, and work from home doing other school activities. Extended concerns to the community and church as well. So many works to focus, concentrate and manage but we have time in everything; it is just the way we handle that counts. No matter how tired we are, we still love and have the passion to teach and don’t want to replace it with other profession.

Indeed, we teachers are the heroes and leaders of today and tomorrow. We change individuals by motivating them reach their dreams and goals in life. We change lives by showcasing love, respect, dedication, efficiency, motivation and strong faith to God.

Lastly, teachers have always the confidence in everything to accept changes what teaching has to offer, easy or hard, sad or happy, defeat or victory moments. We must consider it like “show up in every single moment like you’re meant to be there”. No matter what it is we are doing, know that we can do it better than anyone.
