Pandemic Life as a Student

By Leand Z Janeza G. Bacuyag

You might want to think about your usual life from a year ago. Would not it be wonderful to spend quality time with your loved ones, hugging and kissing freely? You might think about it! You might want to peek back! You might want to go back from few pages!

In January of 2020, a massive event rocked the whole planet. It is like a bolt of lightning, leaving people in fear and distress. The world that is filled with happiness turned into a place of heavy rain and loud roaring thunder. It all happened when an unseen foe has entered our country, scaring people especially those adults who already aged. It spread like wildfire, invading every single corner of the country.

A lot of changes and issues happened when this illness has entered our place, so far, about 3, 000, 000 innocent people in the world has passed away. Everyone was under quarantine, they learned to treasure the comfort of their homes. Beautiful faces with beautiful makes up and smiles must be hidden behind a mask and shield in order to get away from the alarming and terrifying virus. Soon, they decided to have a new normal.

It did not just affect the jobs of workers but the education of the students as well. DepEd (Department of Education) has announced that the learners will study at home under modular and online classes, to keep their minds on track. It is a good thing because children will get protected and less people will get infected by the virus. The less people there are in a community, the less chance they will become the victim of the virus.

God has heard the prayers of the others; it is the vaccine. It protects us and serves as a shield from the deadly opponent. Millions and millions of vaccines has already fly to the country. It is a big help to lessen the prey of the coronavirus.

The humongous battle is still making history. The pandemic journey has been difficult and hard. Everything will go back to the things they used to be, we just need to trust and believed in God that he will not leave us breathless. You are strong to survive this nightmare, be thankful because you are still breathing and alive. Flowers will bloom and the sun will shine again. The world full of positivity will raised once more!

You danced in the middle of the battle, you overcome your fear, and most importantly, you are still standing on your feet! If I had one word to describe you, it would be brave.
