On June 2020, Bagunot Elementary School is actively involved in the remote enrolment for the school year 2020-2021. Although there is no face to face enrolment and through the collaborative efforts of the parents and the teachers they were able to reach out their learners by means of phone calls, filling –up of Learners Enrolment Survey Form (LESF) through the designated pick-up area, video call via messenger and a lot more. And at the end of the month, one hundred percent (100%) of our learners were officially enrolled.
Series of webinars were attended by the teachers of Bagunot Elementary School to abreast themselves in the current trend of the platforms in preparations for the opening of classes. Different learning modalities were also introduced such as printed modular, online modular learning and blended learning.
Luckily, Bagunot E/S was chosen among the 16 schools of Baggao West District to conduct a Pilot Testing Implementation on Modular as Learning Modality.
Parents and learners in Bagunot Elementary School have preference on Modular learning modality as indicated on the available school data of remote enrolment. To ensure readiness of the school and to guarantee the quality and effectivity of learning materials, pilot testing of modules was conducted. Remotely, orientation on pilot testing procedures was initially done to the teachers and adviser of recipient classes on June 30, 2020. Resident teachers of Bagunot Elementary School- spearheaded the distribution of modules in the different zones in barangay where the learners were residing, on June 30 to July 1, 2020 respectively. They communicated first to the learners including their parents and barangay officials then they moved to their respective zones placing/putting the drop boxes with modules directly to the designated pick-up areas.
Dissemination of the pilot testing activity to the different barangay officials was undertaken emphasizing the health protocol issues and standards in the distribution of modules, thus, the pilot testing was successfully implemented. Since there was proper dissemination of information ahead of time, the distribution was done in a smoothly manner. Proper coordination was observed as it was emphasized in the procedures in the distribution of modules.
