EMBRACING CHALLENGES AMIDST THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC

This pandemic has affected students and young learners globally. Schools have remained in blended learnings until now and no one knows for certain when we will come out for the face-to-face learning, as the pandemic shows no signs of slowing down.

Despite the overwhelming consequences of the pandemic, this global crisis has also been an extraordinary time for learning. We are learning how adaptable and resilient educational systems, teachers, students and families can be. The role of teachers is rapidly evolving becoming in many ways more difficult than when learning took place only in .

The Department of Education has shifted in Alternative Delivery Mode wherein schools delivered blended learning and no face to face. Since education must continue, the government specially the Department of Education adopts the Alternative Learning Modality. We teachers at Jurisdiccion Elementary School embraced this challenge as we adopt the new normal in education. We the faculty, stakeholders, and learners of Jurisdiccion Elementary school extended our efforts into continuing education amidst pandemic. Cooping up in this kind of situation the LGU Alcala come up with the installation of free WiFi or internet connection in 159 zones in all of our town, Alcala. This is a great opportunity for our learners to assist them in blended learning. The Jurisdiccion Staff and stakeholders are thankful to SDO Cagayan for choosing our school as beneficiary of Two-Way Radio. It is again a commendable program of our SDO Cagayan. This Two-way radio is a good way to reach our learners without worrying to buy load.

The Jurisdiccion Elemetary School is trying their best to fight and continue in our New Normal of Education amidst the pandemic.
