OVERVIEW

Students will explore Newton's laws of motion and how they can be used to explain the motion of an object within a given environment. Students will use this knowledge to interpret data in the form of velocity and distance time graphs. They will then move onto looking at the relationships between force and extension in elastic objects. Students will be expected to apply this knowledge in a variety of situations such as the landing of a plane, the falling of an object and stopping distances of a vehicle.
