Antarctic scientists, at the South Pole, play a major project drilling deep into the ice to detect oil as well as secrets of the earth’s history.
Students will complete a wider reading with comprehension question homeworks along with teacher led and whole class reading on the following articles:

The risk of wearing suitable clothing is paramount here, whenever students are travelling they should check the weather for that area and the next week and to always wear a coat whenever temps will reach 12 degrees.
Students could speak about the countries they have visited or like to visit, they can describe the climate of that area that they visited.
Maths -climate graphs will be reviewed and description of the differences between climate graphs highlighted.
Science - the location of globally significant biome will be introduced, as will words around the biotic and the abiotic components of biome.
