Students will explore the impact of digital technology on the wider society and learn about the UK legislations that protect the users.

E-commerce, E-commerce relates to strategies, management and implementation of internet products, services and goods for purchase or licensing, Information architect, Information systems auditing, LAN administration, Product manager – internet, Systems consulting, User experience designer, Web developer.

SAFEGUARDING

Understanding the impact of technology on society and what is deemed to be right and wrong. Students will learn about the different acts that are in place to protect the user from cyber crimes and misinformation. Students will appreciate the impact of what is said and shared online can have on an individuals/organisations reputation. Students will understand the importance of keeping the workstations locked when not using them, changing passwords regularly and appreciate the kind of negative impacts digital divide can have within their community and friendship circles.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Students will explore and discuss both the negative and positive impacts of AI. The discussion will include the cultural, ethical and environmental impact using real world examples.

DIVERSITY

• Students will understand that advanced technology affects everyone. Students will explore the digital divide within society and how some parts of the world are yet to gain access to technology and connect to the outside world.

CULTURAL CAPITAL

• Students will learn about what is ethics and the effects of advanced technology on the way society thinks and operates. Students will understand the laws that govern how the internet is used and explore the impact of technology on the environment.
