Learning to use the internet safely and responsibly. Discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the internet. Knowing when the information on the internet is valid, accurate, reliable and relevant.
Students will develop an understanding of the different hardwares used in connecting networks and relate back to their own personal network at home and explain how the network is connected in their homes. Students will also look at the difference between a personal network and the international network.
Connecting different parts of the world with wired and wireless networks, which means communication is instant. This has allowed people to explore and share views, ideologies and historical data over the internet.
Learning that the internet is a global connection of computers and the world wide web (web/www) is a collection of documents and files that are accessed because of the internet.
