Students will discuss careers in accounting and look at why it is important to do calculations as an entrepreneur.

Students will investigate the current minimum national wage in the UK.
Students will look at non-financial aims and objectives: social objectives, personal satisfaction, challenge, independence
and control. They will look at a diverse range of local social enterprises such as Keech Hospice and Luton Food bank and investigate their objectives.
Students will identify ethical issues around having a cashless society and the impact it would have on those who are homeless who rely on cash.
Maths - Students will understand the concept and calculation of and undertake the following calculations: revenue, fixed and variable costs, total costs, profit and loss, interest, break even level of output, margin of safety.
