OVERVIEW

Students will learn how the body transfers energy from food so it can be used for movement, growth, and repair by the process of respiration. Students will also discover how anaerobic respiration of microorganisms is utilised in industry for the manufacturing of food products. Students will learn how plants produce food by the process of photosynthesis, and look in detail at the structure of the leaf and why minerals are required for healthy growth.
