The Eisenhauer family built 104-106 North Market Street in the mid 1800s and opened a fine china shop in the space currently occupied by Starbucks. They lived in the apartment on top of the store. The main area of 106 A was their storage area and their horses and carriages were in a separate little building in the rear.
The current owners purchased the building in the early 2000s and updated it completely while respecting its historic charm. They enclosed the back of the building with a glass wall, restored the historic balcony - now inside the store, renovated the apartment, added skylights throughout, connected the large space of 106 A with the old little Carriage House in the rear, and turned the attic into an office.
