Welcome to Pacific Sky
Welcome to First Grade! I am excited to start a new school year and look forward to meeting all of my new students.
I have had the pleasure of teaching in the Del Mar School District for 15 years in both Kindergarten and First Grade. I grew up wanting to be a teacher and am excited to work in such an exciting field. I graduated with a degree in Child Development from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. In 2012, I completed a three year master's program at San Diego State University to become a Reading Specialist. In addition to my Multiple Subject Credential, I have Reading Specialist Certificate, Reading Credential, and am qualified to be a Reading Coach. I live in Rancho Bernardo with my husband and our daughter, Thea. I am looking forward to starting a new year!

I believe that children and adults are lifelong learners and one of the most important roles of educators and parents is to promote a love for learning. Children thrive in environments where they are encouraged to investigate and problem solve. The teacher's role is to provide questions, tools, and experiments that engage the child's mind.
Life Outside the Hangar
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family including my husband, Tyson, and our 7 year old daughter, Thea. We love trips to the beach, art projects, and family tennis games. My favorite hobbies include running, yoga, reading, and gardening. In the evenings, I can be found sitting in the garden with a good book!
