Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (ECFLS & ECI)
Educational Background and Professional Experience:
I’ve been teaching in the Early Childhood Foundational Learning Skills (ECFLS) program since 2021, and in 2025 I also began teaching in the Early Childhood Inclusion (ECI) program. I feel so lucky to spend my days helping our youngest learners grow, connect, and thrive.
My journey into teaching began at UC Santa Barbara, where I studied Biopsychology and minored in Applied Psychology and Education. I later earned my Master’s in Special Education from San Diego State University, focusing on Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. I also hold special education credentials in Extensive Support Needs and Early Childhood Education.

In our ECI and ECFLS classrooms, your child will learn through play, exploration, and hands-on activities. They’ll get messy, sing songs, share lots of laughs, and always feel safe and loved—all while building new skills. Each day is filled with natural opportunities for learning, discovery, and joy. Our goal is for your child to make meaningful connections, love coming to school, and know they are surrounded by people who truly see, understand, and care for them.
I believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and connected. In our classroom, I focus on celebrating each child’s strengths and supporting them through play, hands-on experiences, and meaningful relationships. I see behavior as a form of communication and work to build trusting connections that help every child grow and thrive in their own unique way.
I was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and moved to California when I was five. I’m a plant lover, live music fan, and moviegoer who loves spending time with my favorite people. My little brother and I often go thrifting or hang out with family. My partner—who I’ve been with since we were 13—and I enjoy traveling with our dog, Nala. Madrid, Spain will always be special to me after teaching there and falling in love with its culture.
