What to Expect in Preschool
In preschool, children learn through play and hands on activities. Students can expect to get messy, sing songs, giggle a lot, and feel safe & loved -- all while learning and practicing new skills! Your child's day will be filled with naturalistic learning opportunities and fun! It is my goal for your child to love school and know that they are surrounded by people who love, understand, and hear them.
Educational Philosophy
My philosophy of education centers around the belief that we all have weaknesses, but what defines us is our strengths. I believe that a disability is an ability in disguise and that all students can do well when provided the opportunity to do so. It’s my job as a special educator to ensure all learners access their full potentials so they can live as independently and happily as possible.
Life Outside of the Hawk's Nest
I was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to California when I was 5 years old. I go back home to Canada a lot to visit my family; although, I prefer to visit over summer (Saskatchewan gets REALLY cold).
My favorite thing to do is spend time with the people I love. My little brother and I spend a lot of time together going to thrift stores, and hanging out with our family. My partner and I enjoy spending our weekends going on adventures with our dog, Nala. We also love to travel. I will always have a special place in my heart for Madrid, Spain, having fallen in love with their culture after teaching there.
