Welcome to Torrey Hills School

I am so excited for the 2022-2023 school year as your Physical Education teacher. My name is Summer Strickland and I have been a TH hawk since 2009. I have a Bachelors degree in Physical Education as well as a CA teaching credential in PE from Point Loma Nazarene University.

PE is an essential part of the school curriculum as it not only promotes fitness but also develops motor and social skills. The positive environment and team building focus during PE allows each student to discover their talents and the desire to make healthy choices and a lifetime love of fitness. My goal as an educator is to challenge each student to reach their highest potential and allow opportunities for success and enjoyment. As many Torrey Hills students know PE is about Exercise, Learning and Fun!
