Welcome to Pacific Sky
My name is Angela Silk and I am so thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I am a native San Diegan, but I moved out of state for a few years to go to school. I received my bachelors degree in clinical psychology and a masters degree in teaching. I taught in Washington for a year and then decided it was time to come back to the sun. Before Del Mar Union, I taught fourth grade at a private school here in Carmel Valley for mulitiple years. I have had the pleasure of teaching for three years within the district. I am so excited to start my adventure as a Pacific Sky Pilot as a Fourth Grade Teacher!

What to Expect in Ms. Silk's Fourth Grade
I believe teachers are meant to champion their students. My job is to challenge, support, and love them as they become stronger scholars, empathetic citizens, and better human beings. Students have a partnership in their classroom, which creates learning that is adaptable, collaborative, intentional, and engaging. FInally, I believe learning and growing is possible for every single student.
In my classroom, students will engage with collaborative and innovative learning experiences to foster a deep understanding of concepts. They will develop a strong sense of grit as they learn to persevere through challenges. My students will spend the year in a classroom where they are seen and heard, and where the genius of each child is sparked through individualized and rigorous learning.
Life Outside of the Hangar
When I am not teaching, I am most likely hanging out with my partner and our dog, Honey. I love going for runs, reading, spending time with friends, and eating as much Mexican food as possible!
