New Student Registration Instructions 

Any child living in Delanco who is going to be 5 years old by October 1, 2024 should register for kindergarten.  Please follow the directions below as registration is on-line.  If you have any questions please contact Kate Teel at 856-461-1976 option 7, or email her at kteel@delanco.com for an appointment to come into the office.

Please begin the registration process as soon as possible.  You are able to return to upload any documents you may not have at the present time.

Our Kindergarten Screenings will take place at M. Joan Pearson Elementary School.

Collection of Documents:

Proof of Residency require the following:

1. NJ License or NJ State ID with your current Delanco address.

2. Renters must provide all pages of a signed current lease.

3. Home Owners must provide the Deed or Mortgage Statement.

4. 2 separate current utility bills (see examples)

   • PSE&G

   • New Jersey American Water Company

   • Cable/Internet

   • Phone

   • Car Insurance

   • Delanco Sewer

5. If child and parent are currently living with a Delanco resident, the resident must provide both:

• Notarized Affidavit of Residency-Child and Parent Living with Resident.* 

• Notarized Affidavit of Resident Living in Delanco.*

Child’s Records require the following:

1. Birth Certificate

2. Doctor Certified Immunization Record*

3. Physical form from Doctor *- physical examination must have been completed with 365 days of registration

4. Student Health Information Update*

School Records require the following:

1. Transfer card from previous school

2. A45 Medical Card

3. Report Card

4. Authorization for Release of Records*

5. Copy of IEP – if applicable

If student is born out of the US require the following:

1. Original immunization booklet or booklet verified by registrar

2. Proof of negative TB testing                                        

If parenting time is determined via court order require the following:

1. Copy of most up to date court order

Helpful information:

1. A copy of a current physical done within the last 365 days must be provided at time of registration 

2. Physical and Immunizations requirements for school are dictated by the State of New Jersey and mandated by law. The school or nurses have no control over these requirements

3. Elementary School (K to 5th) Nurse is Jennifer Boyden MSN, RN and her email is jboyden@delanco.com      

4. Middle School (6th to 8th) Nurse is Thereese Rafanello RN, BSN and her email is trafanello@delanco.com

Online Registration:

If you do not have access to a computer or are unable to upload your documents at home, contact our district's Registrar, Kate Teel at 856-461-1976 option 7 or email at kteel@delanco.com to make an appointment.  Appointments are required. If you come in without an appointment we may not be able accommodate you.
