Dear Chamblee Band Family,

Welcome to the the 26-27 school year! My name is Mr. Pattavina and I am the Band Director at Huntley Hills Elementary, Montgomery Elementary, and Ashford Park Elementary Schools. 

By joining band, students are choosing to better themselves academically and personally. Students will learn the value of hard work, organization, and preparation, in addition to forming meaningful relationships through collaborative music making. Research is clear that playing an instrument releases dopamine, increases academic scores, improves cognitive function and memory, and strengthens social bonds. This musical journey will be difficult at times, but will reap numerous rewards.
