Pets & service animals in our community

Animal companions are be a big part of our spiritual journey. Our organization recognizes & respects the intimate connection Pagans can have with their animal companions. We want to provide safety & inclusiveness for everyone! Fur, feathers, or scales, Deeply Rooted Church has a few guidelines to keep everyone happy & healthy during their stay!

If you'd like to bring your pet to our community, please contact us before registering. We encourage questions, comments, & constructive criticism from our visitors!

KEEPING PETS SAFE & RULES

Here are some basic guidelines which we ask all pet owners to abide by for the safety of everyone:

  • In an effort to protect the safety of people & animals alike, please make sure that your animal has all required vaccinations before visiting our community. You may be asked to provide proof of vaccinations to safeguard your animal & our community.

  • Pets remain the sole responsibility of their owners. Please do not leave pets unattended or in your vehicle.

  • Owners are responsible for any messes or damage caused by their pets to our property. Please remain with your animal & clean up after it. We ask that owners please pick up any feces left by your pets. No one likes to step in poop!

  • We ask folks to please make the clergy aware of your pet in our rituals. We do allow well-behaved, quiet animals to attend ritual as long as the rest of our Tribe is comfortable. Please contact a member of our clergy or a caretaker before registering to ensure everyone is on the same page.

  • Due to health concerns, cats are not permitted in Frog Hall (main lodge.) Thank you for understanding.

WHAT TO BRING FOR PETS

We want your pet to be comfortable during your stay with us! Here's is a list of suggestions designed with your pet's comfort & safety in mind.

  • Appropriate pet food, medications, & a few gallons of water. Also dishes & other necessary reusable containers.

  • Leashes, crates, & other forms of properly securing your pet for short a duration such as a bathroom break. Please do not leave pets tied up or unattended for longer than 10 minutes. If you require assistance with your pet, please don't hesitate to contact us before you register for an event.

  • Blankets, clothes, toys, & other items required to keep your pet safe, warm, & comfortable in a new space.

  • We want you & your pet to be safe & comfortable! Please use care when roaming through the woods of our community. This land was not designed for children & pets. There can be many dangers! Please check with a Caretaker or a member of clergy if you have questions regarding your stay with your pet.


EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS

Our organization recognizes & respects emotional support service animals. We ask guests to be mindful of the needs of others & always ask the owner permission before engaging with the ES animal. If you have an emotional support service animal & you have questions about attending rituals or gatherings with your animal, please contact us! We're here to help how we can!
