Dedham Public Schools 3rd Annual Town-Wide Science Fair

Where: Oakdale School Gymnasium

With set up at Oakdale on Thursday March 21, 2019, 4:00 pm

Are you a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade student in Dedham who..

  • likes learning about how stuff works?
  • is interested in understanding why things happen in nature?
  • has thought "wow, that's cool!" when learning something new about science?

If so keep reading and learn more about the fun you can have designing your own science project and joining us at the Science Fair on March 22th!!

Here's what you need to know...

  • You can work on your own or with a grade-level partner
  • This link: Project Handbook takes you to our project handbook which is full of important information that you'll need to plan a successful project and presentation. Note that you need to download the project handbook to open the live links inside that take you to more documents and useful websites!
  • This link: Proposal & Permission Slip allows you to download our required proposal and permission slip. All students must submit this completed form and have their projects approved by the Dedham Public Schools to participate. The deadline to submit this Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Send the form by email (scanned or photo) to Dr Kobierski, PK-8 STEM Curriculum Coordinator, lkobierski@dedham.k12.ma.us USE EMAIL SUBJECT: science fair
  • On March 21st you'll need to bring your completed project presentation to the Oakdale Gym for project check in and set up. All project presentation requirements can be found in our project handbook linked above.
  • This link: Project Self Assessment allows you to download our required project self assessment form. Complete this form and bring it with your project presentation on March 21st.

Dedham's 1st District-Wide Science Fair was developed and run by the 2017 Community Problem Solving Team. We extend to them special recognition and appreciation for their hard work and vision in initiating this event.
