Decorah Community Schools Foundation Scholarships
Deadline March 1, 2026
Eligibility: Open to all high school seniors in the United States. Both merit and financial-need-based.
Award: 480 applicants will be awarded a $4,000 scholarship, while the top 20 applicants will be awarded a $30,000 scholarship.

Eligibility: Open to all high school seniors in the United States who are the children/grandchildren of current Elks members who joined on or before April 1, 2023. Merit and Elks involvement based.
Award: 350 applicants will be awarded a $4,000 scholarship.
Deadline: February 2, 2026
Eligibility: Open to college students who are the child of a deceased or permanently disabled Elks member. The parent must have been a member of the Elks for at least a year prior to the death or becoming permanently disabled. Applicants must be attending a four-year university and under 24 years old.
Award: Applicants can be awarded up to $5,000 per school year. Applicants are welcome to apply up to four times. Applicants can only apply once per school year.

Eligibility: The student must either have an active IEP or have exited their IEP within the past two years. They can pursue their degree at a four year university/college, community college, or trade district.

Eligibility: Farm Bureau scholarships are reserved for current IFBF members (and their children) who are in good standing with the organization. To be considered, a student must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA), be involved in extra-curricular activities, demonstrate leadership abilities, community involvement and volunteer efforts, and be accepted into an accredited higher education institution.

Eligibility: Students pursuing a two- or four-year degree in agriculture or related crop production, or closely related fields. Available only to high school seniors graduating in 2026, who are children of local Farmers Union Coop members.

The Farmers Win Coop will present four $500 scholarships to young adults entering ag-related higher education.

Eligibility: For students planning to major in Conservation or Agriculture. Two local scholarships for $1500 will be awarded to Winneshiek County students. Those winners will be submitted for the CDI state scholarships.

Eligibility: The principal criterion is service to school and community with special emphasis upon leadership roles in these areas. The Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Iowa is looking for those students who exhibit the greatest potential to be not only of service to their communities in the future but also leaders in these communities.

Gemini Engineering Scholarship
Up to $25,000 tuition scholarship each year for a maximum of $100,000 over four years.

$5,000 to a student pursuing an Engineering Degree
This scholarship is given in memory of Adam J Bohr. Adam graduated from Decorah High School in 1993. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University in 1999. He began employment with McClure Engineering Company immediately after receiving his degree and purchased ownership in McClure Engineering Company in 2001. He later became the Regional Manager of the Coralville and later the North Liberty, Iowa office. Adam passed away from cancer in December 2010. He was well known and respected by those who knew him.
This scholarship is given in memory of Pasha Kay (Dahlen) Quaas, a 1996 graduate of Decorah High School and 2000 graduate (top of her class) from the University of Iowa. Pasha was a deeply creative and joyful person who loved to plan meaningful celebrations for others and family adventures. She will be remembered for her optimism, sharp wit, and generous spirit, as well as her dedication to education and community. Fiercely supportive of those she loved, Pasha was a natural leader whose intelligence, warmth, healing hugs, and tireless advocacy for what was right left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

The Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF) and many of its 100 county Farm Bureaus offer a variety of scholarships at the state (IFBF) and local level to future college students. To apply for these scholarships, you only need to submit one application which will enter you for a chance to receive the state and local Farm Bureau scholarships available to you.

The Winneshiek County Cattlemen Association will award a scholarship to high school seniors graduating in 2026. Awards will be given to students who display a recognition of the importance of agriculture education in our youth and community.
Any 2026 high school graduate who meets the following requirements is eligible to apply for the Winneshiek County Cattlemen Association Senior Scholarship:
• Must be a graduating senior in Winneshiek County OR son or daughter of a Winneshiek
County Cattlemen member
• Applicant must expect to be accepted at an accredited university, college or
vocational/ technical institute for a degree program.
