Discover a new talent in our outstanding middle school music programs. As a 5th grader, you have the opportunity to be a part of our band or orchestra programs. In addition to playing an instrument, you can also sing in the 5th grade chorus.

During the first-year of band the students learn to hold their instruments and sit properly. They develop music reading skills and work together as an ensemble to play music. The importance of developing good practice habits is a theme during 5th grade.
Our band will include the woodwind instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, and saxophone; brass instruments: trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba; and percussion family instruments.

Orchestra instruments include the violin, viola, cello, and string bass.
Students will work on singing skills and beginning vocal technique such as breathing, opening their mouths to shape and match vowels, and singing with correct posture.
