Rev. Michael Depcik, OSFS
Fr. Michael Depcik, OSFS, is among only a handful of culturally Deaf priests in the world. Ordained in 2000 as a member of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, Fr. MD— as he is affectionately known— was born and raised in Chicago and had lived in Michigan for more than 25 years.
He currently serves Deaf Catholics in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, offering pastoral care, sacraments, and faith formation in American Sign Language (ASL). A gifted communicator for the Deaf community, Fr. MD is in high demand for retreats, workshops, and conferences both nationally and internationally. In 2008, he launched his popular vlog, “Fr. MD’s Kitchen Table”(www.frmd.org), which shares weekly homilies for Deaf Catholics and those who serve them.
