In the Ukraine, we learned about decorating eggs.
For Easter, we made and decorated our own eggs.

On our way to Toronto
These four lovely students were all ready to dance a traditional Ukrainian dance, but due to Ms. McGhee's technical difficulties with working the iPad... these are just still photos.
SORRY!
We made eggs, went to the sea, 'ate' Borscht (amazing beet and cabbage soup), visited the capital city Kyiv, where Ms. McGhee was born and we danced...
Check out our incredible dance moves. Double Click below to watch our teams dance.

Dear families,
The other day I saw something that made me think. Due to Covid 19 we have all been living quite a different life. It’s interesting how we evolve, solve problems and adapt to our situation. So, as you know we are trying to have our M and M’s be self-sufficient, relying less and less on us and supervisors to help our kiddos with snacks/lunches. So, when I saw one of our little guys eating a banana with a fork, I thought that was brilliant! The banana was cut into pieces and I thought to myself, “What a great idea!” He didn’t have to ask anyone to help him peel it and he didn’t need to touch it with his hands. It was in a reusable container that he was able to open by himself. Win, win, win. So, I started thinking that because I am always looking for great snack and lunch ideas for my kid, maybe you all are too. So I walked around and took some pictures of the amazing healthy lunches that you all are packing for your kids. I know that sometimes it’s easier to buy food that is prepackaged but when we were talking about Healthy Foods, we realized that the prepackaged foods were so much less healthy. The kids are super proud to show off their healthy snacks and love it when I take pictures of them.
Thanks again for the inspirations and the awesome lunches that you are packing!

P.S. I hope you find some food for thought. (LOL – pun intended)
