Educational Background: Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (2003), Master of Music (Music Education) from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (2014)

Bryan Bohn is a music teacher at Douglas County West Community Schools where he teaches 7th & 8th Grade Bands, co-teaches 6th Grade Band, teaches 6th Grade Band lessons, and assists with the High School Band, 8th Grade Choir, and High School Choir. He previously taught at Oakland-Craig Public Schools where he established the jazz program made up of the Jazz Squires (Junior High) and the Jazz Knights (Senior High). Under Mr. Bohn’s direction, O-C Bands have been selected to play twice at the NMEA Music Education Week at the Capitol and earned superior ratings at Wayne State College Music Festival, Malcolm Music Festival, and District Music Contest. Bryan is active as an adjudicator and clinician for concert and marching band. His previous teaching experience also includes North Platte, Gothenburg, and Holdrege Public Schools. Mr. Bohn is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney, (Bachelor of Arts in Education) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Master of Music-Music Education). He is co-director the Blair Area Community Band. His professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, Nebraska Music Education Association, Nebraska State Bandmasters Association (where he served as Public Relations Chair from 2019-2022), and Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity. Bryan and his wife Jenna live in Omaha with their two miniature dachshunds and a beagle.
