Georgia Home Classroom

Georgia Home Classroom is a collaboration between GPB Education and Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to support at-home learning for students in Pre-K through 12th grade, including digital learning resources and an instructional broadcast schedule. Phonemic Awareness

Phonemic awareness is the ability to identify and manipulate individual sounds. It is the first step in learning to read. Use the topics/videos below to help build your child's pre-reading skills.

The Georgia Department of Education Content Integration Specialists have developed integrated choice board mini tasks aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Each grade level includes integrated low tech or no tech tasks and activities meant to engage students and families in purposeful integration of the content.
