Meet Mr. C!

Hi everybody! My name is Mr. Chiacchieri (Chi-Cherry) you can call me Mr. C if you’d like. This is my first year teaching PE for Trailblazer Elementary and I want you to know I am very excited about being your PE teacher.  This is my 4th year teaching PE. I have and undergraduate degree from Metro State in exercise science as well as my K-12 PE teaching license. Before Physical Education I gained experience in the strength and conditioning field working at Valor Christian High School as well as building a strength program for Englewood High School across the past 8 years. I grew up in Parker Colorado and graduated from Ponderosa High School.  It is so cool to teach in my backyard where it’s so easy to be active. I enjoy playing team sports, lifting weights, hiking our states awesome mountains, pool time, and just hanging with my super awesome family!  My favorite sport is hockey and what a cool time it is with the Colorado Avalanche in the playoffs! Go Av’s! I love the other Colorado sports as well and can’t wait to see the Broncos get rolling again.

Be well,

Mr. Chiacchieri

Check out some good brain break activities here!

Rock Scissors Paper Math: After players say, “ Rock, paper, scissors,” the last call-out is “math.” With that call, students lay out one, two, three, or four fingers in the palm of their hand. The first player to say the correct sum of both players’ fingers wins.

Story Starters: A student or teacher begins a story for one minute, either individually or with a partner. The students then complete or continue it with a silly ending.

Opposite Sides: Movement is critical to learning. Have students stand and blink with the right eye while snapping the fingers of their left hand. Repeat this with the left eye and right hand. Students could also face one another and tap the right foot once, left foot twice, and right foot three times, building speed they alternate toe tapping with their partner.
