More About Mrs. Smith

Hello, My name is Mari Smith. It is a pleasure to be teaching elementary students here at Pine Grove Elementary. I began my teaching career in 2005 in Phoenix, AZ where I taught first through fourth grade. My husband and I moved to Parker, CO in 2015. I taught fifth grade at Northeast Elementary for three year and then moved to Pine Grove to teach fourth grade. I am thrilled to be teaching here and love the community.

Throughout my lifetime, I have moved several times living in Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Iowa, Nevada, and Arizona. While living in Las Vegas, I attended and graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where I earned my BS in Elementary Education. I loved learning so much that I continued my education at Northern Arizona University (twice) to earn a Master's degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Community Colleges and the second time for my Principal Certificate.

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my husband, Gary. We enjoy traveling, working out, and exploring new places. We have two boys, Evan and Andrew. Evan is married to Madison and in the Air Force currently stationed in New Jersey. Andrew is also married to Jena and lives here in Parker. We have three grandchildren, Kaden, Ryan, and Athenia. They are the most amazing little ones!!
