About Me:
Welcome! My name is Sheri Searwar, and I’m thrilled to begin my sixth year at Legacy Point Elementary and my 14th year in education. Originally from Canada, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in both Canada and the U.S. My teaching experience includes one year in first grade, seven years in Special Education, and now six wonderful years in the English Language Development (ELD) program here at Legacy Point.
I’m passionate about supporting our multilingual learners and their families. In my role, I work with students both in the classroom and in small groups to help strengthen their language and academic skills. Watching students grow in confidence and ability is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
Outside of school, I stay busy with my family and our two dogs. As a family, we love spending time outdoors hiking and paddle boarding, and I personally enjoy traveling and learning about different places and cultures.
I’m excited for the year ahead—it’s going to be full of learning, growth, and fun memories!
