Welcome! I’m the Sustainability Learning Specialist here at Sedalia Elementary. I have the joy of working with students across all grade levels to explore how we can take care of ourselves, each other, and the world around us. Through hands-on learning, outdoor exploration, and engaging projects like composting, recycling, gardening, and chicken care, students develop a deeper sense of connection, responsibility, and wonder.
When I’m not at school, you’ll find me hiking local trails, trail running, camping, or exploring the beauty of Colorado. I’m honored to share this journey with you and your children as we grow, learn, and care for the world together.
Our youngest learners explore what it means to care for themselves, others, and the world around them. Through stories, simple routines, and outdoor play, they begin to see how small actions, like sorting waste or helping in the garden, make a difference.
Students in 3rd and 4th grade start to notice how people, plants, animals, and systems are all connected. They ask questions, make observations, and take more active roles in projects like composting, chicken care, and garden work.
Our oldest students take on more responsibility and leadership. They explore bigger questions about how our choices impact the world and work together on real projects that help our school and community.
