All K-6 students are learning about how various careers align with their personal interests! Students are being exposed to new careers through games, activities, and personal interest inventories. All 5-6 grade students had Career Day this week. We had 16 presenters come in to share about a multitude of career options! Our students enjoyed learning about options in their futures.
From one of our presenters: Check out these future nurses who learned how to put in (pretend) IVs today! (I promise, there were no needles on school grounds, they were removed & discarded at the hospital). Thanks Mrs. Hilton for a great Career Day at NRE!
Northridge Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that I will not be returning to Northridge next year. Over the past five years I have been commuting an hour to our amazing school. The commute has worn on me and my two little ones need me closer to home. I can truly say that the Northridge students, community, and staff are the best I have ever worked with. I cannot thank you enough for your support, trust, and partnership. I will be sharing this news with our students on Monday, May 22. I will miss you all immensely and I hope to see you at after school events next year.
Have a wonderful summer!
Sincerely, Mrs. Kristina Hilton

Principal Letter
Dear NRE Community,
Tornado warning, lightning .3 miles, unable to get back to the mobiles for backpacks
We had our final SAC meeting of the year this morning. Thank you to our SAC Board Members Tamara, Virginia, Wayne, Dita, Cathy, and Lindsey for coming to the meetings, doing the extra work, and putting NRE kids first in your advocacy. A special thank you Tamara as the SAC Chair for meeting separately, bringing in guest presenters and being so passionate about the School Accountability Committee. There were different topics covered today but the topic that seems to be keeping people up at night is the topic of "marrying schools" or closing schools. If you are interested in seeing or hearing about this information, please click the links for the agenda, google slides, or for watching the SAC presentation.
Sincerely,
Katie
